LYL HRM 1-Million Mission
One million HR professionals. One certification. No fee.
We are opening the CHRA™ — Certified Human Resources Associate — to one million HR professionals worldwide. The full $700 certification fee is waived. The exam is the same exam. The standard is the same standard.
Open to HR professionals with 1+ year of experience. Cohorts released monthly.
WHY WE ARE DOING THIS
HR is the only profession every organisation has, and the last one anyone invests in.
Every company on earth has an HR function from the day it hires its second employee. The nine-person startup has one. The nine-thousand-person manufacturer has a department. And the professionals running those functions are, more often than not, doing the work without a single formal credential — not for lack of ability, but because certification has been priced for a fraction of the profession.
An HR executive in Hyderabad, Lagos, Manila, or Karachi does the same work as an HR executive in Chicago. She writes the offer letters. She handles the grievance. She runs the onboarding. She keeps the company compliant. She carries the same responsibility, and she has almost never had access to the same credential.
The LYL HRM 1-Million Mission exists to close that gap. Not by lowering the standard — by removing the fee.

WHO CAN APPLY
CHRA™ requires one year of HR experience.
This is a professional certification. It certifies people who practise human resources, not people who have studied it. One year is the floor, and it is not waived under the mission.
You are eligible if you are:
- An HR executive, coordinator, generalist, or assistant with 1+ year in the role
- An HR practitioner in a small or mid-sized organisation where you are the entire people function
- A recruiter, payroll, or HR operations professional with 1+ year of HR responsibility
- A professional who moved into HR from another function and has held HR duties for 12 months or more
Not yet eligible: students and graduates without a year of HR work. The exam certifies applied competence, and there is nothing to certify without practice. Come back when you have the year — the mission will still be open.
What Is Included
The fee is waived. The programme is not reduced.
Everything needed to prepare, certify, and progress.
THE EXAM IS REAL
This is the part most free programmes leave out.
The CHRA examination under the 1-Million Mission is the same proctored examination taken by every fee-paying candidate. Same seven domains. Same weighting. Same passing standard. It is possible to fail, and people do.
Nothing about this mission changes what CHRA means. If it did, the credential would be worthless to the million people we are giving it to — which would defeat the entire purpose.
The seven domains: HR Foundations & Ethics (15%)
· Talent Acquisition & Hiring (20%)
· HR Operations & Compliance (15%)
· Employee Relations & Communication (15%)
· Compensation, Benefits & Wellbeing (15%)
· Learning & Performance Support (10%)
· Digital HR & Emerging Trends (10%)
Where CHRA™ Leads
CHRA™ is the entry credential in the LYL HRM pathway. It is not the destination.
CHRA™
Certified Human Resources Associate
CHRBP™
Certified Human Resources Business Partner
Certifying with CHRA™ brings CHRBP™ forward by a full year.
CHRA™ holders qualify for CHRBP™ at two years of experience instead of three. That is the practical value of entering the pathway now rather than later.
The LYL HRM 1-Million Mission applies to the CHRA™ credential only. CHRBP™ remains experience-gated, examined, and awarded under standard certification requirements at full fee.
NOMINATE YOUR TEAM
The fastest way to certify your HR function costs you nothing.
If you lead an HR team, nominate your people for fee-waived CHRA places in a single submission. No procurement. No budget approval. No purchase order — because there is nothing to purchase.
Nominate up to [25] people at once. Each nominee receives their own application link. You receive a team dashboard showing preparation progress and certification status across everyone you nominated.
Nominees must meet the 1-year experience requirement.

ABOUT LYL HRM
LYL HRM is a certification body of LYL Corp International, an international professional certification organization. LYL Corp International develops, examines, and governs credentials across three disciplines through its certification bodies — CorpSecurity International (corporate security), LYL BCM (business continuity management), and LYL HRM (human resource management).
Every CHRA™ certificate carries two marks: the certification body that issued it, and the governing authority whose standards it was awarded under. That separation between examining and governing is how serious credentialing organisations are structured.
Professionals across India, the UAE, Africa, and Southeast Asia hold LYL credentials.
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about CHRA™ certification, professional eligibility, and the Mission.
Is the CHRA certification really free?
The $700 certification fee is fully waived under the 1-Million Mission. No payment at application, none before the exam, and no card details at any stage. After you certify, a $75 annual maintenance fee keeps your credential active — the same requirement every professional certification carries.
Do I need HR experience to apply?
Yes. CHRA requires one year of HR experience. It is a professional certification, and it certifies people who practise HR rather than people who have studied it. The requirement is not waived under the Mission.
I'm a student. Can I apply?
Not yet. CHRA certifies applied competence in the workplace, so a year of HR work is required. Once you have twelve months in an HR role, apply — the Mission will still be open.
Is this a course or a certification?
Both, and the difference matters. The learning programme prepares you. The certification is awarded only on passing a proctored examination against a published standard. It is never awarded for completing the course.
Can I fail?
Yes. CHRA has a defined passing standard and a published pass rate. A certification that cannot be failed certifies nothing.
What does CHRA lead to?
CHRBP™ — Certified Human Resources Business Partner — the strategic HR credential. CHRA holders qualify at two years of experience instead of three.
Why is LYL HRM giving this away?
Because certification has been priced out of reach for most of the world's HR professionals, and the profession is worse for it. Widening who can hold a credential strengthens what the credential means.
Which certifications are included?
CHRA only. CHRBP remains experience-gated and is awarded at full fee under standard certification requirements.
One million HR professionals are going to be certified. There is no reason it shouldn’t include you.
